Description
Short cycle stud welding is a high-speed welding method that uses a shorter arc time to fasten metal studs, pins, and fasteners onto thin sheet metals or coated surfaces. The base metal preparation is very limited, no backside deformation is induced, and the method is more suitable for light-gauged steel than conventional drawn arc welding.
This is employed wherever clean finishing, minimal heat input, and high production rates are critical, e.g., electrical enclosures, HVAC, control cabinets, metal furniture, elevators, and automotive panels.
